Final Blog

Before I started this in the university, I never make blogs for an English subject, i used to answer exams, make oral presentations and dialogues. I think that the use of blog it’s a very good way to learn English, because its feel more familiar and comfortable, It’s like when someone talks about his own life, it doesn’t feel like a common work to do to practice English, and the topics used to be very interesting and funny, so I like a lot the fact to made blogs to study English. I think that I still to need practice in conversations, just like dialogues, because when i have the opportunity to talk with an English speaker I feel very nervous. So I would like to practice with dialogues between my partners, to have a better English speak fluency. I always use a lot of English in my life. I play a lot of videogames in English, because I don’t like the Spanish dubbing, the same thing happens to me in movies or TV series; I prefer to hear the original audio. And talking about music, I think that the English music is better than the Spanish music, my favorite groups have their songs in English, like Maroon 5, Twenty One Pilots, and Metallica. And finally, I usually visit a lot of blogs in English, of any topic, like news, music, videogames, movies, sports. A lot of the original sources are in English, that’s the reason I read a lot of things in English. And that’s all, I am very glad to have the chance to practice English using blogs, it’s a very original form that I never used before, it was a nice experience, see you. :D

Changes to my study program

First, I think that my university it’s amazing, so, I have to think a lot about this topic. I see the curriculum and I don’t find anything wrong, but I hear that the next year it may be changed, I don’t like the changes that may be done the next year, because Latin American history be transform into an universal history, centered in Europe. I say that five years it’s a good length of studies, but it would be nice that it would be four, like other universities. About faculty facilities, I think that the classroom of Facso (Faculty of social sciences) would be improved, because the lecture rooms are a lot better than Facso classrooms, they are bigger and comfortable in contrast. I also may build bigger dining rooms, because they are always full at launch time. And finally, I would like to have a new computer room, with more capacity to receive people, and more sophisticated, to not look like any other classroom. But I can’t say too much about infrastructure right now, because a lot of my university campus it’s in construction. About technology, I don’t have a lot of concern now, but I hear that the university has good laboratories, at least to work in my faculty. Finally I would make that the teachers use a method different as the usual, many times the students get boring in their classes, because there always the same, to explain and read slides, sometimes, using methods more dynamics and more entertaining, would make the class more interesting than usual, the use of more videos or music, watch movies or activities like games between students, they may make that they be more active and pay more attention in the classroom.

Winter holidays :o

Hi everyone, this time, I would talk about my winter holidays. My previous experiences of my winter holidays, when I live in Arica, there were very bad, the summer vacations too. Until I have 17, I don’t do anything special, just be in my home all day, watch TV, play videogames, spend all of my time in my computer, there were very annoying days to me. I also hate when I see in TV animated series that the winter was accompanied with snow, because in the north of my country there was a desert weather every year, the snow don’t exists. Just when I was on high school, I started to go to my friends’ houses or go out, that was a little fun but I still thinking that I would have better days in winter. When I was growing up, the winter holidays just become like any other day of the week, because the school was losing importance to me year to year. So, all my previous experiences about winter were really bad, but today, that I am a wonderful city like Santiago, I hope that I can go to a lot of interesting places, to go with my friends to concerts, to travel, to the cinema. I would like to go to the south of my country in the future, the good thing is that I am very close to that, before I was in Santiago, the travel it may take 2 or 3 days. So I would like to visit cities like Valdivia, Chiloe, Punta Arenas, etc. I love to travel and to be in the center of my country it’s a great opportunity to meet the south. :D

GPOY (Grateful Picture Of Yourself) :)

I'm very indecisive to choose my favorite things, in this occasion, I tell you about my grateful picture. I have a lot of pictures to consider; just I said in other blogs, I like to travel, so I have too many pictures of my trips. I born in the north of Chile, so I used to go to Peru frequently and I have been in Bolivia a pair of times, when I turned 18 years old and in my study tour at 2014. I live a great part of my life in a desert zone but I don’t like the deserts. I love the trees and green landscapes, so every time that I went to a valley I was amazed. 

Actually I live in Santiago, one day, when I was studying anthropology, I was doing a field work with my university partners in San Vicente, specifically in Cuchipuy, and it was the first time that I see a lot of green landscapes everywhere, it doesn’t matters the direction who I look, all of the place was full of threes, bush and vegetation. I’m not accustomed to see that, so I was very crazy. In the way to visit a museum near the archaeological zone, I ask to my partners to take me a picture. I think that is awesome, because it haves a good contrast between the sunlight and the shadows, also you can see the forest and me, with my archaeological hat, one of my favorite clothes. XD

About postgraduate studies

Hi guys, today, I’m going to say what are my plans about my postgraduate studies in the future, Since I decided to study archaeology, I wanted to go deep in that discipline, as long as I can. So I would like to do a magister in archaeology to reach that. If I can have the opportunity, I will do the magister in another continent, just to have the chance to meet more visions about archaeology and professionals from other countries. Furthermore, to know the culture and archaeology sites of that places from my own eyes.

Then, after thinking that I am an expert in my profession, I may go to explore another areas of the social sciences. I like psychology as far as archaeology; in fact, it was my second election when I do the PSU to enter to a university. I still be interested to study something related with that, So, I would like to do a doctorate in psychology, after finished my archaeological studies. Like the magister in archaeology, I want to do the doctorate in another country, to complement my studies with people from far away.


Finally, with those two postgraduates, I will finish my objectives about professional studies that I have actually, but I wouldn’t refuse to continue studying if appears another career that I like later. :)

My future job

Hi guys, in this ocassion, i would talk of a job that i always wanted to have, since i was a kid. I like to travel, its my favourite thing to do in all my life, so, I want to work as an archeologist. I think that an important part of their job consists in fieldwork, i feel rough it up for that. I have a lot of energy to do things like climbing, treaking, get dirty, walk for hours, so there aren't difficulties to me to work in any area. I can be without matters in snow, woods, deserts, and any other terrain. I don't like the office job, thats another reason I say that the archaeology field work its perfect for me. Also I don't have any problem to go travelling for months or years, I can be out of my country o city for a long time. The only reward that I expected from this job, its the fact of travel around the world, meet another cultures, the money its doesn't really matter to me, i can be happy without a lot of them, just having the necessary to live. This are the reasons why i want to be an archaeologist. I hope to be a great adventurer someday. :D

My Obsessions o_o

Hi guys, today, I would tell you about an obsession that I have since many years ago. I don't like when I am going to sit down in a chair, that this have something hanging in their back, just like when you put a bag of bread or shopping bag in any chair in your home after returning to buy something. I hate when I feel the handle of the bag in my back, I think that it's very annoying and uncomfortable, it don't care if the bag is full or empty. So every time that I see a chair with something hanging in their back, I just sit on another chair or I take the bag and I put it down in another place, it doesn't matter to me if I am in another house as a guest. I can't remember when I started to do this, but I have years avoiding chairs with bags. I think that I don't have many obsessions, this one is something that happens to me very infrequently. So I don´t know what more can i say about this topic, if I have any other obsession, i just didn´t noticed yet. XD

Embarrasing thing T_T

I have a lot of embarraing moments in my life, but one of the most specials and latest, it was when I was part of the chemistry olimpics in my city at 2013. There were students of all the schools. In my case, it was 6 students of my school and me. We have to go to a university and go to some of their classroom, to take notes. During the first days, I was very confused, I never went to that area of the university before, so I spent hours tryng to find the correct classroom. And in the second day, they changed the clasroom, I was very lost again and when I think that I finally find the classroom, I enter and sit down, but suddenly, all of the people inside, including the professor, stared at me. Inmediatly, I realised that I never seen any of them, and they look too much older than my partners, and then, I understand that they were doing a test, it was a class of university students, and thats why they were in silence. When I realised that, I fastly go out of the classroom, but I already break the peace of the class, so I was very shamed.   :(

My favourite Concert lml

   Hi everyone, this time, I will talk about the best concert that I see in my life. This year, after thinking a lot and agreed with 2 friends of my city or birth, Arica, we decided to go to Lollapalooza Chile. It cost too much money, but I have big savings of all my life, so I was able to go to the concert. There were many artist in Lollapalooza, but my favourites were Metallica, The Weeknd and Martin Garrix. I see a lot of them, but the best for me was Metallica, not only for their songs, but also for the effects of the stage. This happen in the two first days of april, this year, so I remember very good how was the experience. Metallica was one of my favourite rock bands since I was a kid, I used to hear their albums for hours. For me their best songs are Enter sandman, One, Master of puppets, their classics. I wait for one hour before their presentation, because I was sure that a lot of people were going to see them, and finally I finish to 10 meters close to them, and when they say goodbye I come more close and I see them to 4 meters, it was amazing, absolutely, one of the best experiences of my whole life. :D

A country I want to visit

   Hi everyone, my name is Alvaro, this time I'm going to say what country I want to visit. Since I was a kid, I always want to go to Great Britain, I had seen many pictures of that country and I love the landscapes, also I like the many buildings that they have. I think that Great Britain have a very rich culture and many places to visit. Also I want to go to a concert there , see any artist or group that I like and how are the stages. I like to travel around the world, and Europe is the first continent that I want to go. I like all the countries, but Great Britain was my favorite, thats why I always have been interested in learn english. Finally, I would like to go to rural areas, to some forest, and meet the snow, because I never see it or touched it, and I would like to practice ski or snowboard, thats all. :)
